Hi, since this is a pretty artsy-crafty group, I thought someone might
be able to help in my search.
Lemax, makers of collectable display town pieces, makes a moss mat that
I'm looking for. Here's a close up of it:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=110192338107&ssP
ageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=001
Apparently, it's actual moss smashed flat & attached to a netting on the
back.
Michael's carries the Lemax stuff, but none of the ones in Sacramento
have the moss mat (they have the grass & other type mats). I may have
just missed it since it seems to be part of their Halloween collection.
So, does anyone know where this Lemax mat is sold in Northern
California, or know of any similar type mat?
I've done lots of googling for "lemax" & "moss" so I think I've found
just about everything that's online.
Thanks for any help,
Black Cavalier

You might try Pearl Arts & Crafts store -- they have or had matierials
for architectural models -- I assume that's what moss mats are for.

Have you contacted model train stores? I know of one at the Berkeley
Ace Hardware store on University.
Here's a link to a Yelp review of that store:
